Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy had posted this about what would happen capwise if Avery was claimed by another team on re-entry waivers…

“If Avery were claimed on re-entry waivers, his salary would be paid by and count against three teams’ caps with this breakdown: Dallas 50 percent, Rangers 25 percent, New Team 25 percent.”

Larry Brooks confirms that Avery will be put on re-entry waivers tomorrow.

Avery has to clear re-entry waivers before he can report to the Rangers so no matter what he wouldn’t be back for tomorrow’s game against Sharks. Which could be why Deveaux was recalled and will most likely be sent back down after game if Avery clears. I’m getting excited!!!
