Miller, St. Croix Continue to Score; McIlrath Continues to Fight

Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that J.T. Miller (2011 – 1st) had a goal and an assist last night to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 4-1 victory over the Sarina Sting.

Miller now has 14g, 26a on the season which puts him at #12 in the OHL in scoring.

Meanwhile, Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) had a goal and two assists to help his Edmonton Oil Kings defeat the Prince Albert Raiders 5-3.

The goal and two assists bump St. St Croix up to 17g, 29a which is good for #8 in the WHL.

…running out of adjectives to describe the Rangers prospects they’ve been so good this season. In Gordie we trust.

…i’m usually pretty jacked after watching a McIlrath fight, but after the New York Times series on Boogaard I wonder if all these fights are going to eventually catch up to the young enforcer. Maybe he should start getting away from the fighting and focus on being more responsible defensively while continuing to be that tough, intimidating presence in front of the net.
