Mark Masters at TSN reports Christian Thomas (2010 – 2nd) was released by Team Canada today and will not participate in the National Junior Championships later this month.
Thomas on being cut…
“I thought I did enough.”
Thomas didn’t help himself last night as he went scoreless in the National Junior team’s 5-3 scrimmage victory over the Canadian Interuniversity Sports All Stars.

…i’m sure it’s more than disappointing for Thomas who I’m sure would have loved to represent his country, but now he can focus on getting better as a player and hopefully push for a roster spot on the Rangers next season.
