Rick Carpiniello at the Rangers Report says Sean Avery has cleared waivers and will be CT Whale bound.
…no shock here, as the perception around the league is that Avery can only be effective playing in New York. Too bad Torts doesn’t feel the same.
In Carp’s post game thoughts from last night he mentions that Avery’s fate with the Rangers was sealed with an apparent incident in Buffalo. One of his readers explains the incident…
“Avery apparently brought his mother and a friend into the Ranger locker room to the ire of Tortorella, who said something to the effect of ‘you have to earn the right to be in the room’ or something.”
