Practice Notes: Lines; Sauer Works Out; Biron vs. Panthers?

Andrew Gross reports that John Tortorella keep the line together that he ended the Winter Classic with…

Anisimov-Stepan-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Richards-Callahan
Fedotenko-Boyle-Hagelin
Rupp-Mitchell-Prust/Christensen

Gross adds that Wolski skated with Boyle line but Torts says he will remain a healthy scratch tomorrow vs. Panthers.

…having lots of depth is always a good problem to have.

…poor Wolski finally got out of that nice relaxing tub and he can’t get into the line-up. Maybe he should get back in.

Meanwhile, Tortorella reports that Mike Sauer worked out in Philadelphia but had no update on his return.

…got to start somewhere.

Finally, Gross says Marty Biron was the first goaltender off the ice at practice, but the Rangers backup goaltender later admitted he left early to work on equipment, blades that haven’t been right.

Gross still feels Biron will get the start tomorrow.

…with the Rangers playing Pittsburgh Firday night, it makes sense to give Biron the start tomorrow.
