Andrew Gross reports that John Tortorella took the team off the ice at the beginning of practice because he didn’t like what he was seeing. Allowed them to hit the reset button.
Torts on the restart…
“I figured we’d start again. It’s human nature when you’re finding ways to win some game, it’s human to forget some of the details.”
Torts added that the team spent 35 minutes before practice going over film of Penguins game.
Jeff Woywitka (sore foot) returned to practice after sitting out on Saturday to rest.
Regarding Marc Staal, Tortorella noted he is playing more physically and getting up the ice more and is showing more confidence in the offensive zone.
…great job by Torts making sure this team maintains focus. Torts knows for this team to be successful they need to outwork their opponent on every shift. Not enough talent to win on skill alone.
