“I was thinking about it before the game if I score on Henrik. I wouldn’t do it to any other (goalie), but I wanted to do it against Henrik to get a celebration there.”
Lundqvist on Gaborik…
“He got me, what can I say?,” Lundqvist said with a smile in the post-game locker room. “I only saw the end of his ‘Anisimov’. I was too angry having allowed that goal to him. But give him credit, Gaby had a great day today and I am really happy for him. It was a really fun weekend here in Ottawa.”
Lundqvist added this about Gaborik, who now has scored seven goals on Hank in the last two games against, on Twitter…
“Need to sign @MGaborik10 for life in NY, can’t stop this guy..”
…Gaborik and Lundqvist’s friendship was on full display this weekend. You can tell that they have a very close relationship. Which was fun to watch. Loved all the chirping.
…having said that, you know the celebration must have really chapped Lundqvist.
