Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that Martin Biron will start in goal tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
…unless Lundqvist plays in both games this weekend, this move doesn’t make sense to me. If they do split against Philly & Washington that means Biron gets two of the next three games. Get Hank in there against a suddenly hot Tampa team then against rival Flyers. While Hank needs rest and Biron has been good this year, with the offense sputtering would hate to give up points.
Leonard also reports that Steve Eminger will return to the line-up for the first time since separating his shoulder in Phoenix in December.
…with Bickel’s penalty issues recently, this was expected.
