Morning Skate Notes: Biron Starts; Feds, Wolski, Woywitka Out; Heritage Jersey Tonight

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Marton Biron was the first goaltender off the ice this morning meaning he will likely start tonight’s game against the Blackhawks.

…Lundqvist has seen a lot of rubber lately, so this is a great chance to get him some rest against a struggling Blackhawks team.

Gross adds that Ruslan Fedotenko was working with the training staff today and is out for tonight as are the recently recalled Wojtek Wolski and Jeff Woywitka who stayed on the ice late this morning. This obviously means Stu Bickel is back at forward.

…thought this might be a good spot to get Wolski in the next two games against Western Conference teams (Columbus on Sunday) for no other reason than to showcase the enigmatic winger.

Finally, Steve Zipay at Newsday says the Rangers will wear their Heritage jerseys tonight and will for future games against Original Six teams.

…big fan of Heritage jersey.
