Steve Zipay at Newsday reports that Martin Biron will start against the Islanders tonight, meaning Henrik Lundqvist will get the nod against the Sabres tomorrow.
…big start for Biron coming off a subpar performance against the Blackhawks. Would like to see him get on a roll to end the season giving Torts confidence to rest Lundqvist a game or two down the stretch.
Zipay adds that Ruslan Fedotenko will return to the Rangers line-up with Stu Bickel moving back to defense and Steve Eminger to the press box as a healthy scratch.
…smart move by Torts keeping Bickel in the line-up against the Islanders in what should be a physical game as always. Stralman, who has struggled recently, might have been the better guy to scratch as Eminger bring more toughness to the blueline. Assuming Torts wants Stralman’s offense in the line-up with the Rangers recent scoring woes.
