Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that the Rangers might have interest in Dennis Wideman, however, the Capitals defenseman is not available.
Wideman has 10g, 28a and is a -3 this season. The 28-year-old Wideman, who has 18 power play points (4g, 14a), is in the final year of his contract that pays him $3.937 million this season.
…Wideman would instantly make the Rangers power play viable. Too bad he’s not available. He probably would have cost a young defenseman (Del Zotto?) though.
