What Was Dubinsky Thinking?

-5

You would think after Michael Del Zotto’s throwing the stick penalty against the Islanders last week, Brandon Dubinsky would have learned not to touch another player’s stick. Instead he did this last night…

Which obviously led to a misconduct penalty for the Rangers forward and the Hurricanes scoring on the ensuing power play. John Tortorella, who was not amused by the stunt, decided to staple Dubinsky to the bench for the remainder of the game.

…i’ve got to ask, what was Dubinsky thinking? I know he can be a fiery player, but he’s got to learn when to keep his emotions in check.

…and the worst part about the infraction, as you can see by the above picture, is that he did it right in front of the ref. If you’re going to do something that stupid, at least makes sure the zebras aren’t looking.

…Dubinsky is lucky Callahan is out tonight and the Rangers are only carrying 12 forwards, because he would be a healthy scratch candidate for sure.
