Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record says that the Rangers are lucky that Marc Staal seems to be back at full strength (two straight games leading team in ice time) because it would be silly to think they can count on a return of Michael Sauer this season.
…Sauer has almost become a forgotten man. Never a good thing when the team is providing no updates on his situation or timetable of his return.
…Rangers medical staff most likely being extra cautious after seeing Staal return to the line-up too soon last year.
…got to give the Rangers defensive corps credit for maintaining a high level of play despite losing such an integral piece.
