CBS Sports Boston reports that Tim Thomas blamed the dim lighting at MSG for his less than stellar performance (just 13 saves on 17 shots) during the Rangers 4-3 over Boston yesterday.
When asked if he is ready for the increased workload that awaits if backup Tuukka Rask is injured significantly, Thomas responded…
“Yeah. Especially if I go to an arena with lights.”
Henrik Lundqvist is 17-6-2 with a 1.75 gaa and .935 sv% with five shutouts at MSG this season.
…is Thomas kidding me? Nothing worse than an athlete making excuses. Take your medicine like man.
…the so-called light issue doesn’t seem to be having an effect on the Vezina frontrunning Lundqvist.
