Yesterday, I posted that Sean Avery was being left off the CT Whale playoff roster, now Larry Brooks at the New York Post adds that the former Rangers pest was also instructed not to report to the rink for club practices or games.
Brooks adds that Avery apparently believed he could force his way out of the AHL by confronting management rather than wait for Sather to oblige as it grew nearer to the deadline.
Avery has not practiced with the Whale for approximately three weeks, instead skating on his own under management orders.
…wow, relegated to skating on his own? Is this really how Avery’s tenure with the Rangers organization ends. Ugh. What a $hit show.
…although, if Avery did purposely cause problems with the Whale to force his way out he deserves every piece of poor treatment he’s received.
…can’t wait for the book.
