Which Prospects Will Join the Whale

3

Crawford’s Corner takes a look at which Rangers junior and college prospects will join the CT Whale after their seasons are over.

CC says that Chris Kreider (2009 – 1st) most likely would agree on a contract with the Rangers after his Boston College season ends, as they doubt he would sign a tryout agreement with the Whale if he did not have an NHL deal set for next year.

CC adds that Christian Thomas (2010 – 2nd) and Andrew Yogan (2010 – 4th) are likely to sign tryout agreements with the Whale (Yogan had 2g, 1a with Whale last year), however, Dylan McIlrath (2010 – 1st), J.T. Miller (2011 – 1st) and Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) will probably not be available because the Whale season may end before their teams are eliminated from the playoffs.

…with the way the Rangers are struggling offensively, no way Kreider is going to the Whale.

…as far as the other prospects go, here’s to hoping for early exits from all their teams so they get some valuable professional experience.
