Morning Skate Notes: Anisimov Feels Great; No Howard, Lidstrom or Franzen for Wings

The Rangers report that Artem Anisimov said he felt great at practice today, but it is up to the coach whether he plays or not.

…Torts usually defers to the medical staff on injuries so if they clear him expect to see AA back in the line-up tonight.

…if AA returns, the question is who sits? Fedotenko is a little banged up so he is a possible candidate.

Meanwhile, Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that Tim Erixon will remain in the line-up tonight.

…Torts hasn’t fully trusted Erixon since the recall but he hasn’t done anything to deserve being removed.

The Red Wings report that Nicklas Lidstrom, who has missed the last 10 games with a bone bruise on his left ankle, did participate in the morning skate, but is not likely to play.

Detroit also reports that Ty Conklin has cleared waivers and will likely start in place of the injured Jimmy Howard tonight.

Johan Franzen has missed the last two games with back spasms and is out tonight.

…wow, the Rangers are catching a huge break with none of these guys in the line-up tonight. This game has gone from a likely loss to a should win.
