Sabres 4, Rangers 1

Rondo

The New York Rangers (46-21-7) lost to the Bufalo Sabres (36-29-10) by the score of 4-1, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…well that couldn’t have gone any worse for the Rangers if they tried. I said earlier today I don’t want to see Buffalo in the first round and tonight was exactly why. Miller can steal a series.

…it might officially be time to re-evaluate the shot blocking game plan. Second year in a row a broken bone from a blocked shot could really hurt this team come playoff time. Got to feel for Zuccarello who had been playing so well that even I was impressed.

…just when you thought Lundqvist found his game again.

…guess no one wanted to get back on defense tonight.

…nice to see Mitchell get one.

…NINE hits from Callahan tonight.

…McD looked like a young Leetch out there with those offensive moves.

…i’ve been real impressed with Boyle’s game lately.

…Hagelin said earlier today he hasn’t felt good recently and tonight it showed.

…i love Sam and he will always be the voice of the Rangers, but it might be time for him to consider stepping aside. He was atrocious tonight.

…zero points and a -5 for Gaborik in the last four games.

…combined -6 for Del Zotto and Staal tonight.

…other than fighting on the opening face-off, I’m trying to figure out what Rupp brings to the table right now.

…right back at it tomorrow night in Toronto.
