Rangers 5, Flyers 3

16

The New York Rangers (51-22-7) defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (46-25-9) by the score of 5-3, tonight. For a box score and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…if you would have told me before the season that the Rangers where going to be the #1 seed going into the playoffs, I would have said you were crazy. Well look who’s crazy now. Congrats to the Rangers on a tremendous regular season.

…with the way the game started, the Rangers should have runaway with the victory, but if it wasn’t for Lundqvist and the penalty kill the Flyers probably win.

…speaking of Lundqvist, hopefully tonight got him straightened out. And if it did, the rest of the playoff field better watch out.

…not sure what Boyle’s been doing lately, but maybe he should share his secret with Dubinsky.

…if McD can continue to add some offense to his game he is a lock to be a multiple Norris Trophy winner.

…would love to see Anisimov bottle that up and go to the net strong more often. Sick goal.

…what can’t Callahan do?

…great job by the Rangers fans in Philly singing the “Goal Song” after Gaborik’s snipe.

…can’t think of a better time for the power play to finally be heating up.

…i criticized Prust last game for not being noticeable recently, but got to give him major props for standing up for Gaborik by going after Rinaldo. It’s why he’s a fan favorite.

…really Rupp? Jody Shelly? You’re better than that.

…SIX hits from Girardi tonight.

…off tomorrow then in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
