Yesterday at noon, Rangers playoff tickets went on sale to the public. So I asked my readers on Twitter if they were able to get any. Here’s the response…
@TheNYRBlog So I was slow on the draw with the presale the other day and tried at noon today the min tix came out and none were available ha

“@TheNYRBlog: So who was able to purchase playoff tickets today?”— Dean Rocco (@AnkleBenderNYR) April 4, 2012
@TheNYRBlog I just assumed that was a sick joke. Nothing but "No Tickets Available, Try Again" Were any tix actually released?

@TheNYRBlog Friend said when he finally got through, 1st & 2nd rounds were sold out. I'm going to depend on the kindness of lawyers for tix.

@TheNYRBlog what a scam. They only released obstructed view tix! And the chase presale was even worse! I emailed them calling them out… BS

…as always the true fan is priced out. I’m not trying to begrudge those Rangers fans who can afford the tickets, but I just don’t like the fact that a middle income family has to take out a second mortgage just so they can attend a game. Every Rangers fan should have the opportunity to watch their favorite team live no matter what their income bracket is and that’s just not the case anymore. And even if you could afford them it didn’t seem like any were available.
..the first year I had season tickets was in 2006-07 and the first round of the playoffs in section 420 cost $32 per seat. Just six years later that same ticket costs nearly $100. That’s disgusting.
