Kreider, BC Try to Advance to National Championship Game (Updated: Rangers Ready to Talk Contract)

NYR assistant GM Jeff Gorton at Frozen Four in Tampa prepared to talk contract with Chris Kreider if BC loses 8 PM semi to Gophers.

…Rangers wasting no time. I really didn’t expect the Rangers to bring him in for the playoffs, guess I was wrong.

Tonight, Chris Kreider (2009 – 1st) and his Boston College Eagles will face the Minnesota Gophers in a NCAA National Semi-Final game at 8pm tonight on ESPN2.

For a preview of the game, click here. The winner will play either Union or Ferris State in the National Championship game on Saturday.

…with the Rangers already clinching the #1 seed in the East, I’m much more interested in this game than the Blueshirts meaningless contest vs. the Penguins tonight.
