Torts says he just gave Stepan the day off and trainer Jim Ramsay is working with him (via Rangers).
Update, 12:47 p.m.:
Zipay reports that Ryan McDonagh says that Stepan was sore this morning, but doesn’t think it’s anything serious.
…Dr. McD to the rescue.
Zipay also reports that no hearing has been scheduled for Brooks Orpik, and appears there won’t be.
…there’s Bettman’s NHL for you. Glad the league is trying to cut down on dangerous plays.
According to Pat Leonard at the Daily News, Lundqvist expects to start vs. Caps tomorrow night.
In other injury news, Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record notes that Mats Zuccarello just had his stitches taken out, but is still in a cast.
There is no timetable for return but he hopes to play again if the Rangers have a long playoff run.
Update, 12:09 p.m.:
Steve Zipay at Newsday says there has been no call-ups and Stepan took team photo this morning.
…sounds very encouraging.
Zipay also reports that Henrik Lundqvist (right hand) seems to be handing his stick well again today.
