Cincinnati rode the 3 guard trio of Cashmere Wright, 28 points, JaQuon Parker, 21 points, and Sean Kilpatrick, 15 points, to run past the Campbell Fighting Camels 91-72. There was a period in the second half that Campbell cut the lead to 11 and had a shot to cut the score to single digits, but Cincinnati went on a 6-0 run to put the game away. It was a good offensive game for Cincinnati as the Cats sported an offensive rating of 119.6. They had their problems at the free throw line yet again. Cincinnati was just 18-34 at the foul line. Cash was 8-10 to buoy that.
Cashmere Wright deserves his own paragraph. The senior point guard scored a career high 28 points. He was 8-14 from the field. He hit 4-6 from 3 in addition to his 8-10 at the foul line. Wright had 5 steals, which moved him into 5th place all time in steals at Cincinnati. Wright drilled a couple of 3s early to give UC a lead. When Campbell cut the lead to 11, Wright followed a Parker layup with a steal and layup of his own, then he drew a charge on Campbell. It was a very big night for the senior. Congrats, Cash.
