The first USA Today coaches poll for December has been released. Cincinnati is ranked 23rd, up 2 spots from last week. Louisville is ranked 16th. That means for the first time ever, two ranked teams in the American will play each other. UCF was not ranked going into the Louisville game. It's the first ranked team for Cincinnati and the first ranked team for Louisville.
Cincinnati has a slim shot at winning the American and going to the BCS. They have to win back the Keg of Nails while UCF loses on Saturday to SMU. UCF rose in the polls to 17th so a loss by them and a win by UC should be enough for the flip. Louisville was eliminated from the BCS bid when UCF beat USF on Friday night.
Keg of Nails. First game between ranked teams in American history. Thursday night. ESPN. Last game at Nippert for the seniors. Last game at Nippert period until 2015. A chance for a conference title. Biggest game of the season. I'm pumped.
