The American Athletic Conference announced that they would be a part of the Miami Bowl. They have an opponent for the inaugural game. From ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, the BYU Cougars will face off with the AAC representative. McMurphy’s article says that the game was originally pitting the AAC against C-USA, but the AAC gave it’s Bahamas Bowl spot to the C-USA and C-USA gave it’s spot in this game to BYU.

The date of the game has not been announced. It will be held at Marlins Park.

BYU is going to get familiar with the AAC. They play at UCF and UConn and host Houston. They start a series with UC next year. There is a very high possibility of a rematch in this bowl game. But there are 7589 bowl games and they have to be filled somehow. This is how.
