We’ve known it was coming for a while now, but today it was made official. July 1 marked the day that Louisville and Rutgers went to the ACC and Big 10 respectively. It marked the day that East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa officially joined up in the AAC.
We’ve been conference mates with Tulane and East Carolina in the olden days of Conference USA. Tulsa is a new one. The closest tie between Cincinnati and Tulsa is that the great 2000 Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team were bounced from the NCAA tournament by the 7th seed Golden Hurricanes.
Things are officially in the darkest timeline. Hopefully it won’t last very long and there will be a lot of success while we are stuck in it.
