It’s time to get registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Portland. For the past twenty years, Komen Oregon has provided tens of thousands of low-income women access to critical breast cancer screening and treatment. Money raised by Race participants helps grow the access to lifesaving screening and treatment while providing funding for cutting-edge breast cancer research.
September 16, 2012 is the day of this year’s race at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. If you join by June 30th you’ll receive an early bird discount of $5.00.

Teams consist of any number of registrants, but you must have a team of 15 of more by August 24th to receive the team shipping benefit. Teams can help each other fundraise and may have a collective fundraising goal as a team, in addition to one’s individual fundraising goal. Many teams choose to walk or run the Race for the Cure together, but it is not a requirement that team members participate in the same walking or running event.
You can join as a team or individual participant. It’s a great event and a very worthy cause.
