Fantasy Football Start And Sit – Week Six

minihorsewoman

RECORD LAST WEEK: 15-7

OVERALL: 43-34-1

Houston at Indianapolis

Start: Dwayne Allen, TE, IND

Andrew Luck’s favorite red zone target looks poised for the scoring chances against a tough defense.

Sit: Arian Foster, RB, HOU

The Texans are limited through the air, so look for the Colts to focus on a banged-up Foster.

Jacksonville at Tennessee

Start: Kendall Wright, WR, TEN

Facing the league’s worst pass defense, expect either Jake Locker or Charlie Whitehurst (if Locker cannot play) to find Wright a lot.

Sit: Toby Gerhart, RB, JAX

Despite the Tennessee run defense being 26th in the league, the fact that Gerhart is averaging 2.6 yards per carry cannot be a good sign.

Baltimore at Tampa Bay

Start: Joe Flacco, QB, BAL

The third worst pass defense in the league versus Joe Flacco coming off a tough loss.  Advantage: Flacco.

Sit: Bobby Rainey, RB, TB

If anyone is going to win the game for the Buccaneers, it is Mike Glennon.  Rainey faces a tough matchup here.

Denver at New York (A)

Start: Peyton Manning, QB, DEN

Yowza.  A reeling Jets defense versus Peyton.  This will not be pretty.

Sit: Eric Decker, WR, NYJ

While Decker would like to go Steve Smith on his former squad, the uncertainty of the Geno Smith/Michael Vick situation makes him a poor choice.

Detroit at Minnesota

Start: Matthew Stafford, QB, DET

Yes, Megatron will either be slowed or out entirely, but Stafford has enough targets to warrant starting this week (look at Eric Ebron in deeper leagues).

Sit: Matt Asiata, RB, MIN

This is a tough Detroit run defense, and the Lions will look to force whoever is calling signals for the Vikings to beat them.

New England at Buffalo

Start: Tom Brady, QB, NE

Games like this are what Brady has built his career on.  Look for him to throw everything at the Bills to silence his critics in a huge game for both teams.

Sit: C.J. Spiller, RB, BUF

Can you really trust Kyle Orton?  I am guessing the Patriots will focus on Spiller, and force Orton to win the game again.

Carolina at Cincinnati

Start: Carolina Defense

While the Panthers have been extremely up-and-down this year, the injury to A.J. Green and the Bengals struggling running game is a good chance for Ron Rivera and crew.

Sit: Andy Dalton, QB, CIN

Losing Green for the Bengals is so much worse than losing Calvin Johnson is for the Lions.  Dalton will have trouble without his favorite target.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland

Start: Le’Veon Bell, RB, PIT

During their first meeting in Week 1, Bell had a big night.  The Browns rush defense has not gotten any better since then.

Sit: Cleveland Defense

The Steelers racked up the yards last time, and with the Browns defense ranking near the bottom in both rush and pass defense, this seems like a bad week to trust them.

Green Bay at Miami

Start: Lamar Miller, RB, MIA

The Packers have the worst run defense in the league, and Miller has the hot hand right now.

Sit: Eddie Lacy, RB, GB

The Dolphins have been strong against the run thus far, and the Packers may find themselves in a shootout where Rodgers is needed more.

Dallas at Seattle

Start: Marshawn Lynch, RB, SEA

He is absolutely salivating at the thought of facing this defense.

Sit: Tony Romo, QB, DAL

Romo versus this secondary is going to be unpleasant, especially in Seattle.
