The Oregon Ducks will take to the field shortly to face off against the Florida State Seminoles. The Ducks elite offense will be put to the test against an athletic Florida State defense, while Oregon’s own defense will need to find a way to keep quarterback Jameis Winston under wraps. So, the question is: which team will prevail?
Fans looking to go to the game should make sure to check out PrimeSport, the official fan-to-fan ticket exchange, VIP Hospitality and Travel Package Provider of the Rose Bowl Game. Anyone bringing more offense than Oregon is a crazy notion, and that elite offense is a good reason why Oregon Ducks tickets have remained such a hot commodity for the past several years. The desire to see them live certainly won’t go away on Thursday, when Oregon plays for a shot at the national title. They’ve certainly looked the part of a legit title contender throughout the 2014 season, marching to 12 wins with just one loss against Arizona, who happens to know the Ducks about as good as anyone. With a crushing 51-13 win over Arizona in their last game, though, it appears Marcus Mariota and co. have exercised their demons and could be ready to fight for a championship.
There is nothing to go on in this matchup based off of past duels, but the numbers suggest fans are in for an explosive, back and forth barn burner. Oregon should look to set the tone offensively, as they bring top-five ability when it comes to yardage and points. Marcus Mariota didn’t win the Heisman Trophy by accident, as he enters the biggest game of his life after putting up 38 touchdowns to just two interceptions on the year. As outstanding as Mariota has been, though, the difference might come in who can get more defensive stops, and if not careful, that could be where the Ducks lose their edge.
It’s the first game of the College Football Semifinal and should be one of the best games of the bowl season.
