Abe’s College Football Picks – Week 13

It was a tough 6-6 week twelve for me, bringing my season record to 99-49. Here are all the week thirteen picks.

Navy 34, Houston 21 – Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo acts in his free time, lending his talents to such productions as the LDS Church’s 2014 classic Meet the Mormons.

Arkansas 41, Missouri 10 – The fact that this game decided the East for something like the last three years is the best argument that the SEC slowly but surely falling apart.

Oregon 148, Oregon State 0 – It’s come to this, folks: FOX had to choose between the Civil War and the Apple Cup, and they picked the Apple Cup.

Washington 24, Washington State 22 – Mike Leach: THE ONLY MAN WHO CAN SAVE LSU.

Nebraska 38, Iowa 35 – What will all the haters say after Mike Riley saves America from an undefeated Iowa!?!?

Baylor 55, TCU 41 – So when this ends with Baylor, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State ranked 5th, 6th, and 7th respectively in the final CFP poll, who gets fired?

Michigan 20, Ohio State 17 – URBAN MEYER TO IOWA STATE.

Clemson 54, South Carolina 20 – Can’t wait for the South Carolina state championship between Clemson and The Citadel.

North Carolina 45, NC State 10 – There are a lot of FBS college football programs, and I can remember all of them just fine – except NC State. Seriously. I don’t think I’ve even seen them on TV during this decade. Their level of anonymity is remarkable.

Alabama 44, Auburn 14 – Auburn is a bologna sandwich. It sucks.

UCLA 38, USC 34 – At least there will be plenty of room for improvement for new USC coach Chip Kelly.

Mississippi State 45, Ole Miss 41 – If you beat Arkansas in November, Mississippi State, you might as well go on and win the whole damn thing.

Stanford 31, Notre Dame 24 – It’s true, Notre Dame couldn’t beat Oregon right now either, and I like how everyone is conveniently forgetting the role of defensive savant Don Pellum in the Ducks’ incredible turnaround.

LSU 17, Texas A&M 15 – LSU is paying something around $20 million to fire a coach who won a national championship, played for another, and won 80% of his games in the SEC West over an eleven-year stretch because he couldn’t beat Alabama consistently?

Florida 24, Florida State 20 – LES MILES WAS THE COOLEST I WILL NEVER RECOVER FROM THIS TRAGEDY.

Oklahoma 48, Oklahoma State 30 – Guess where Bob Stoops played and started his coaching career. That’s right! Iowa!
