Pacers crap again in loss to Grizzlies

The Pacers had a good win last night against Chicago at home, and it was hoped, win or lose, that they would put up another strong effort in Memphis. It was not to be.

The Pacers were suffocated offensively and lost 82-71, a season low in output. The 11 point differential is a lot worse than it looks as the Pacers never really looked like they were in the game. We know they struggle on the second night of back-to-backs and tonight was a fairly typical performance in that regard.

They were down 43-30 at the end of the half and most of us expected them to make a push in the third, but instead got outscored by 2 to be down 15 entering the fourth, where they never threatened again. Lance Stephenson had 15, David West had 10, and that's about all that's worth mentioning. Just a horrible night, but on the bright side they did only have 10 turnovers.

Fortunately, Miami continued their struggles as well in a loss to New Orleans, so the Pacers maintain their 3-game lead in the East. The Pacers will have their hands full again when they play in Chicago in two nights, and then it's the big one against Miami at home on Wednesday.
