Tom Brady
The Patriots still have plenty to play for in Week 17, so don’t expect Brady to spend much time on the sidelines. He returned to practice this week, so I wouldn’t worry too much about the shoulder injury. The Bills defense sucks, so expect Brady to put up his usual 300+ yards and 3 TDs.
Wes Welker/Deion Branch
Both of these guys are banged up, but the matchup is too good to risk benching them in standard leagues (shallow leaguers might find it a bit easier). Expect Welker to reel in a minimum of 5 balls for 75 yards, and Branch should contribute 3-4 catches for 40 yards as well. Both players have a 50-50 shot at finding paydirt.
New England RBs
Ridley has averaged around 10 touches and 50+ yards the past three weeks, but Green-Ellis is still getting the lion’s share of the goal line touches. Woodhead still is getting plenty of snaps on passing downs. If I had to take a gamble on one of these guys, I’d lean toward Ridley.
Rob Gronkowski/Aaron Hernandez
With both WRs hurting, expect the TEs to play an enormous role in the offense this week. Both players should eclipse 70 yards and have a very good chance of finding the end zone.
Stephen Gostkowski
Another ho-hum day with 5 XPs and a FG.
New England Defense/Special Teams
The Pats D makes for a decent gamble this week. The Bills have been mediocre on offense, and the New England offense should keep them off the field with long, sustained drives. Expect around 17 points allowed with 4 combined sacks and turnovers.
