New England Patriots schedule preview

The New England Patriots were the 2014 NFL Super Bowl Champions with the perfect storm of a legendary comeback, mixed with one of the most instinctive plays in Super Bowl history dashed with perhaps maybe the worst play call in NFL history.

All that matters to the Patriots is that they lifted the Lombari Trophy for the fourth time under the combination of head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

The Patriots duo of Brady and Belichick look to earn their fifth Lombardi Trophy in 2015, as the Patriots have no signs of slowing down with a very team-friendly roster. Most of the gang is coming back to defend their championship, with some minor moves coming during the offseason that won’t jolt the team’s chemistry too much.

New England is looking to step into an unprecedented territory of winning. Brady and Belichick secured their legacy and their place in the game’s history. The two now join Pittsburgh’s Terry Bradshaw and Chuck Noll as just the second quarterback-coach tandem to win four Super Bowl rings together. The only other four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback is San Francisco’s Joe Montana, Brady’s boyhood idol.

The Patriots look to continue their dominance of the AFC East, where they usually win the majority if not all of their division games against the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. As for the rest of the schedule, the Patriots face the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers at home. On the road, New England faces the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Denver Broncos.

The Patriots fans had a good showing at Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona, and can use Hipmunk.com to support the defending Super Bowl champions wherever they play in 2015. Hipmunk has deals for hotels near Gillette Stadium from $58 and has easily searchable flights to Boston to help you attend any game.

There isn’t much to lose in a season where a title defense is involved, but there’s no shame in sitting back and enjoying the Patriots trying to add onto their historic run.
