About Brooklyn Balling

Sup’, Nets fans and other NBA fans alike. This is Brooklyn Balling, a blog exclusively about New York’s (and Brooklyn’s) NBA team, the Brooklyn Nets. It covers the intricacies of one of The Big Apple’ two NBA teams (we don’t like to talk about the other one) in terms of game previews, recaps, commentary, news, analysis, and anything else that might apply.

Ever since the Nets moved eastward from the swamps of New Jersey to the bright lights, interesting smells, amazing food, and kickass attitude of Brooklyn in 2012, it has turned into a title contender. Not bad for a team that won just 12 games a few seasons ago.

Now for me.

I’m Josh Burton and started this blog on Blogspot in early 2012 and has seen it transfer over to Bloguin and become what it is now. I’m a college freshman at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, right outside of Chicago but I’m from Long Island, New York, which is mainly Knicks territory and have been–through my dad, a Nets lifer back to the ABA days at the Coliseum with Dr. J–a Nets season-ticket holder since I could walk and talk, and have gone to games at the Continental Airlines Arena (which turned into the Izod Center), Prudential Center, and now the beautiful Barclays Center.

Okay, enough for my personal ramblings. If you want to contact the site in any way (questions, concerns, criticisms, compliments, suggestions, business proposals, or even just to say hi), the site’s email is BrooklynBalling [at] gmail [dot] com. My business email (for writing gigs and the like) is JoshBurtonWrites [at] yahoo [com].

The Twitter account for the site can be found @BrooklynBalling and my personal one @Josh_Burton1. Hope you enjoy the site and go Nets!
