Sanders fumbled the opening kickoff, and even factoring that in, averaged 28.8 yards per return. His case was cemented with a game-changing 48-yard return in the final minutes to shorten the field on the eventual game-winning drive.
I know Jeff Reed has won this award once or twice since I started featuring the honorees here, but Manny is the first Steelers returner to win the award since Randle El did prior to PSAMP’s existence.
Congrats to Manny. His work, especially on that final return, is much appreciated. And since we don’t have any cool pics of him with older female fans, this one of him hanging out and spending his time with the kids at Children’s Hospital is more than appropriate. Fantastic work all around, Manny!
