Game 45 Preview: Orlando Magic (14-29) at Brooklyn Nets (26-18)
D-Will was clearly frustrated after the Nets loss on Saturday to the Rockets, being ejected late in the game and not talking to reporters afterwards. He looks to rebound, along with the Nets, today in Brooklyn against the Magic

When: 7:30 PM; Monday, January 28th, 2013

Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY

TV: YES Network

The Nets, riding a high after a three-game winning streak that brought their record to a season-high 10 games above .500, had a brutal weekend on the road against the Western Conference's Southwest Division, getting trounced on consecutive nights against the Grizzlies and Rockets. Now, they come home to Brooklyn looking to stop the losing skid in its tracks and regain the winning form they have basically exhibited since firing Avery around a month ago. And there isn't a much better team to snap a losing streak against than the Orlando Magic, a team the Nets have already beaten three times this year.

Clearly outclassed and outworked on Friday and Saturday nights in Memphis and Houston, the Nets, with their spirits shaken but not destroyed, look to right the ship against a Magic team that has slipped right off the rails. Losing 16 of their last 18 games, and five-in-a-row, the Magic are going through just about every motion possible but have been severely hampered by injuries throughout the season, making their task to be just relevant extremely difficult. Bright spots have shone in Arron Afflalo, Nikola Vucevic, and J.J. Redick, but individual performances from them and other supporting pieces just haven't been able to be put together well enough to model any form of consistency. Essentially, they are the perfect opponent for a struggling Nets squad to face.

Probable Lineups

ORL- Nelson (PG), Redick (SG), Afflalo (SF), Davis (PF), Vucevic (C)

BKN- D-Will (PG), Johnson (SG), Wallace (SF), Evans (PF), Lopez (C)

Final Thoughts

If Brooklyn loses this one tonight, we might need to start calling for P.J.'s head. Okay, I'm just kidding, but the Nets seriously can't lose this game, especially with the mighty Heat coming to town on Wednesday.
