Gerald Wallace returns to Portland for the first time since being traded to the Nets last season. Damian Lillard was gifted to the Blazers by the Nets and might win Rookie-of-the-Year. This is the Nets' 5th game–out of eight–on their circus trip. Earlier, the Knicks beat the Grizzlies and Pacers beat the Rockets, making tonight a game that is imperative for Brooklyn to win to keep pace in the Atlantic and the East. The Heat's 27-game winning streak was snapped by a shorthanded Bulls team tonight in Chicago. One of these things is unlike the other.
