With the halfway point of their year-long road trip throughout the western half of the United States in their rearview mirror, the Nets head to one of the hardest-to-play-in arenas in the NBA to take on the best home team in the league. The Denver Nuggets are 32-3 when playing at the Pepsi Center in the 2012-13 campaign, a statistic that clearly shows how tough they are to beat when facing an opponent in their own digs. Conversely, Brooklyn is a respectable 20-15 when away from Barclays Center, meaning that this evening's matchup is between two teams comfortable with the circumstances surrounding this game.
Both teams aren't exactly at full strength though, as Denver's Ty Lawson and Brooklyn's Joe Johnson are each likely to miss the game with their respective injuries (which I talked about earlier). Lawson played in Denver's last game–a loss in San Antonio–but missed the Nuggets' prior three games with the same plantar fascia injury that is keeping him on the sideline tonight. Joe has missed the Nets' last two games with a leg contusion–both wins–but is out with a sore heel.
The injury tradeoff looks to help the Nets, as the North Carolina grad (Lawson) has had a great season, averaging 16.7 points and 6.9 assists per contest. However, injuries haven't seemed to deter Denver much at home so far, so how much impact Lawson's and Johnson's absences will have on the result of this Nets-Nuggets game.

FInal Thoughts
Not expecting much against such a formidable home team. But with how D-Will, Brook, and Reggie have been playing recently, anything is possible.
