Detroit has a real good player in center Greg Monroe. Too bad he won't be able to be in the playoffs for awhile with how bad the Pistons are right now |
When: 8:00 PM; Wednesday, April 17th, 2013
Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY
TV: YES Network
82 regular season games in Brooklyn done, and hopefully infinite more in the future. Tonight's basically meaningless game vs the Pistons at the Barclays Center represents the final pre-playoffs game for the Nets (and final season game overall for Detroit), a time that could only dream of a postseason appearance a few years ago, while still middling along in New Jersey.
The 48-minute game itself might not mean much, but it just shows the culmination of the hard work of the team, coaching staff, front office, fans, arena workers, and countless others who busted their proverbial gut to make the Nets' maiden Brooklyn season such an outstanding success.
Props to all, and thank you, thank you for making this team that was such a mockery a season ago into a team that I–and other Nets fans–can be proud of and can root for in the playoffs. It's been a long journey.
Probable Lineups
DET- Calderon (PG), Knight (SG), Singler (SF), Monroe (PF), Drummond (C)
BKN- Williams (PG), Johnson (SG), Wallace (SF), Evans (PF), Lopez (C)
Final Thoughts
Don't get hurt.
