Netlinked 4/25/13: Joe is game-time decision; 2013 NBA Draft to be held at Barclays; Billy King's contract extended
It would be really, really bad news for the Nets if Joe Johnson was unable to play tonight due to his own case of plantar fasciitis in his foot

You know I said that the Nets were basically completely healthy for their series vs the Bulls? Well, that's changed, as star shooting guard Joe Johnson has befallen plantar fasciitis, the same condition that has plagued Joakim Noah, after hurting his foot in Game 2 in Brooklyn. The injury means that Joe is a game-time decision for tonight's Game 3 in Brooklyn. If he doesn't play, Brooklyn's offense will be severely hamstrung this even in Chicago, as the lanky swing-man–even in shooting slumps–can spread the floor wonderfully for P.J. Carlesimo, is effective at driving to the hoop, and is a solid man defender of bigger guards and forwards that go up against him.

In Barclays Center news, this year will be the third-straight that the NBA Draft will take place at the same place that the Nets play their home games at. Barclays will host the 2013 Draft on June 27th, in which the Nets will have the 22nd overall pick. The last two seasons the event was at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Finally, Nets' general manager Billy King's massive job in rebuilding this team's roster has been rewarded. Brooklyn's head front-office man, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, will see his contract extended by the higher-ups in the organization, coming on the heels of the team's presence in this season's playoffs and the 49-33 record it compiled during said season. Extension well deserved.
