Brooklyn Balling makes its triumphant return from a quick holiday vacation this evening as your Brooklyn Nets, now a brutal 10-21, are in Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder, who have 2.5 times the amount of wins Brooklyn does. The Thunder, before losing a tough home game to the surging Blazers on New Years' Eve, had won three games in a row and before that, were on a nine-game winning streak.

The Nets, on the other hand, have lost their last two games and six of their last seven. Brooklyn, if not already at rock bottom, is barreling towards utter oblivion and hasn't beaten a good team in what feels like an eternity. To make matters worse, they can't beat bad teams either.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Shaun Livingston (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Kevin Garnett (C)

OKC- Reggie Jackson (PG), Thabo Sefolosha (SG), Kevin Durant (SF), Serge Ibaka (PF), Kendrick Perkins (C)

Final Thoughts

OKC may not have Russell Westbrook, but they still have Kevin Durant and are playing at home, which should be more than enough to blow out the Nets. But then again, the Nets beat the Thunder exactly a year ago in a very similar situation–after a New Years' Eve embarrassing loss to the Spurs. So what I'm saying is that anything, including a Brooklyn win, is possible, yet improbable.
