Vince Carter may be on the Mavs now, but he's no less beloved by Nets fans for his exciting tenure in New Jersey |
When: 7:30 PM; Friday, January 24th, 2014
Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY

The Brooklyn Nets, winners of eight of nine and their last three, are riding extremely high as they continue their torrid month of January, taking on the Dallas Mavericks–and a few old friends–tonight at Barclays.
Former Nets Vince Carter–an old teammate of Jason Kidd's in New Jersey–and Devin Harris–originally traded from Dallas to New Jersey in the deal that sent Kidd to the Mavs–are both members of Rick Carlisle's squad, which has went 25-19 in a surprisingly good start to the 2013-14 season. Carter and Harris, who made his season debut (toe) a few days ago, are both coming off the bench for Dallas, a team that has gotten surprisingly good production from Monta Ellis (20 points per on efficient 46% shooting), Dirk, Jose Calderon, and Shawn Marion, among others.
Probable Lineups
DAL- Jose Calderon (PG), Monta Ellis (SG), Shawn Marion (SF), Dirk Nowitzki (PF), Samuel Dalembert (C)
BKN- Shaun Livingston (PG), Alan Anderson (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Kevin Garnett (C)
Final Thoughts
Deron Williams will be coming off the bench for the 3rd-straight game since his return from injury, so basically the same lineup Brooklyn has had throughout its winning stretch will be out there tonight. If it isn't broken, and happens to be working extremely well, don't fix it, right?
