The return of Netlinked! The Nets’ first round playoff series with the Raptors is already underway, with Brooklyn leading 1 to 0, but that doesn’t mean Brooklyn Balling is going to forget about all the non-playoff-related happenings of your Nets. Here we go:

First off, the Coach of the Year award voting was released yesterday, and to noone’s surprise, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich won for the third time in his career. Meanwhile, Nets rookie coach Jason Kidd finished in 10th place with one 3rd place vote. After Brooklyn’s dreadful 10-21 start, it was doubtful Kidd would win any coaching awards, but after the Nets turned their season around in 2014, he was named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month in both January and March.

It appears that the Nets new Brooklyn practice facility, to be built in the Industry City section of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, will be unveiled in May. However, the $50 million building is expected to be ready in time for next season, the 2015-16 campaign, meaning the Nets will have to practice at the PNY Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey for one more year.

We finish up with one more reverberating shock from the now-infamous Raptors GM Masai Ujiri pre-Game 1 comments to the tune of “F*** Brooklyn!” Paul Pierce, whose nine fourth quarter points helped the Nets win on Saturday, when asked about Ujiri’s expletive, said aloud: “Really? I’m shocked that Bryan Colangelo would say that,” which was referring to the former Toronto executive in a tweak of Ujiri. It’s great to see the Nets fight Toronto’s fire with some of their own.
