The Lopez brothers–Robin and Brook–face off in their biannual meeting as the slumping Nets, who have lost their last two games, head to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers, who are looking to win their fourth straight game overall.
Brooklyn, finishing up its three-game Western Conference road trip, is 4-4 and needs a win to stay above .500 before they head home to take on the Miami Heat on Monday.
Nicholas Batum and LaMarcus Aldridge are both out for Portland, so coach Terry Stotts will have to make some last-minute lineup adjustments. Just more of reason why this a must-win for the Nets.
Probable Lineups
BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Joe Johnson (SG), Bojan Bogdanovic (SF), Kevin Garnett (PF), Brook Lopez (C)
POR- Damian Lillard (PG), Wesley Matthews (SG), Allen Crabbe (SF), Thomas Robinson (PF), Robin Lopez (C)
Final Thoughts
It would be pretty bad if the Nets fell to 4-5 and lost three games in a row. They need to right the ship and playing the Blazers at half-strength is a good chance to do that.
