Netlinked 11/17/14: Shaun Livingston’s toughness, British royalty visiting Barclays Center, KG wants to own the Timberwolves?

The Nets play the Miami Heat tonight at Barclays in a meeting of two teams currently riding three-game losing streaks. Last time I checked, that means one will start a winning streak tonight and the other will continue its skid. Here is some assorted news from across the Nets universe:

In its second game of its 0-3 Western Conference road trip, the Nets went to Oakland and lost to the Golden State Warriors and old friend Shaun Livingston. Livingston spent last season with the Nets and had a career year. Also, he reportedly played in the postseason with a broken nose. What a tough dude.

News broke on Friday that the heirs to the British throne–Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton–will attend a game at the Barclays Center when they visit New York in December. The Nets will take on LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 8 and the royal family will be watching the King in Kings County. Interesting.

Kevin Garnett, who currently plays for the Nets, said–after the Nets’ loss to the Warriors–that he would one day like to own the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team that drafted him. Not sure if that’s tampering or what it is, but it’s certainly interesting. Hopefully KG is more worried about his team’s 4-5 record than his possible post-basketball executive career.
