Game 46 Preview: Toronto Raptors (31-15) at Brooklyn Nets (18-27)

When: 7:30 PM EST; Friday, January 30th, 2015

Where: Barclays Center; Brooklyn, NY

TV: YES

Considering they only lost their game, a road tilt against the Eastern Conference leader Atlanta Hawks, by 11 points after losing their prior two by a combined 74, the Nets might be improving just a bit. They still don’t have Deron Williams (rib), Mirza Teletovic (blood clots) or any sort of positive momentum, but maybe things aren’t getting worse for Brooklyn.

Tonight’s game is another challenge for the struggling Nets, who have lost 10 of their last 12 games as they head back home to take on the Toronto Raptors, the top team in the Atlantic Division. Toronto, who beat the Nets 105-89 on December 17th in these team’s first matchup of the year, lost their first three games on 2015 but have rebounded well recently, winning four straight.

Brooklyn is heading downward while Toronto is trending upward. Probably not the best mixture.

Probable Lineups

TOR- Kyle Lowry (PG), Greivis Vasquez (SG), DeMar DeRozan (SF), Amir Johnson (PF), Jonas Valanciunas (C)

BKN- Jarrett Jack (PG), Alan Anderson (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Kevin Garnett (PF), Mason Plumlee (C)

Final Thoughts

The Raptors are a young, athletic team that is fully healthy while the Nets are an old one without a bunch of key players. Do the math.
