Redskins Hog Heaven blog welcomes DC Pro Sports Report to Bloguin Network

It’s been in the works for a few weeks now, but I think it’s safe to tell it. DC Pro Sports Report is moving to the Bloguin Network, joining The Nats Blog, Wizards Extreme, Rock the Red, and yours truly, Redskins Hog Heaven.

DCPSR is the go-to site for mock drafts. By tallying a large number of mock drafts by smart people, um, a large number anyway, DCPSR brings a rational guess to a secretive process. No pro GM participates, but I bet they peek for clues to what other teams might do. Call it the wisdom of the crowds.

How good is DCPSR? Mark Butterbaugh’s December 2, 2011 story was the first to tie Robert Griffin III to the Washington Redskins. In December, most Washington fans had never heard of RG3 and the Redskins still figured to pick sixth in the upcoming Draft.

My frustration with Rex Grossman reached its peak on December 4 when he lost yet another fumble that cost the Redskins a game, in this case against the New York Jets. Disgust led Redskins Hog Heaven to post the completely over the top story, “Introducing Your Next Quarterback of the Washington Redskins, Robert Griffin III.” As best as I can tell, we were the first Redskins blog to campaign for RG3 to DC thanks to that pointer by DCPSR.

You are a good man, Mark Butterbaugh. Here’s a hat/tip to you.

DCPSR is already on the NFL 2013 Mock Draft, and they provide good coverage of the Redskins. Today’s story, Countdown to 53, wide receivers, is one of those “I wish I wrote that” posts.

Go take a look. We’ll be here when you get back.
