Way to go, Jerry. Your Cowboys finished .500 each of the last three seasons and finished 6-10 in 2010. Why not take the bull by the horn and sell the NFL on sinking to the Cowboys’ level. Lord knows it has been tough for your team to win 10 games in a straight-forward rush for the post season. The ‘Boys won’t make the playoffs this season either. Not with that roster.

Owners might go for it. Twenty-eight franchises have built or renovated stadiums since 1995. That’s big money, both for teams and for the jurisdictions that fund the projects to the tune of $6 billion. Billionaires don’t get rich using their money. They get rich using your money.
Cities, states and counties that raised your taxes to pay for stadiums to keep or lure NFL teams need playoffs to placate voters.
So, yeah. Expanded playoffs and 18-game seasons are dead certainties.
