The Arizona Cardinals’ magical undefeated ride ended in Week 6 with a loss to the Denver Broncos. In Week 6, they’ll look to get back up, dust themselves off and try to get to 4-1. The hope is quarterback Carson Palmer is back under center after missing three straight games with a nerve issue in his shoulder. If he can, the Cards’ look to have a good shot to top the visiting Washington Redskins.
With the prospect of winning their fourth game of the year, Arizona has some shocking value with Cardinals vs Redskins tickets this week, as fans have to pay just $124 on average on the secondary market and only $35 to get in the door. The price is 14% below the secondary market average for Arizona Cardinals tickets this season.
Even better is that the ‘Skins haven’t won in their last three tries and appear to be a favorable matchup on paper. That’s especially the case for Arizona on offense, as Washington has been among the worst at defending the pass. That’s terrific news for Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald – especially if a healthy Palmer can take the field.
That’s where things could turn south, however. If Palmer can’t go, AZ will be forced to roll with rookie passer Logan Thomas. Backup Drew Stanton is almost surely out this week due to a concussion sustained in week five, putting Arizona in a tight spot potentially.
It may be crucial for the Cardinals to find success through the air, too. Washington has been extremely stingy against the run this year and there may not be much room for Andre Ellington to roam. On the other side, Arizona also boasts an elite run defense. If the Cardinals can keep that trend rolling and shut down Alfred Morris, they could put major pressure on Kirk Cousins. As seen in Week 4 when Cousins imploded for five turnovers, that’s something to chase after. With Palmer, Arizona has to be the favorite here, as they matchup well offensively and should be able to attack Washington deep. If Palmer can’t go, though, it may take a gritty defensive effort to get Arizona their fourth win of the season in Week 6.
