These Redskins bubble players are too good to stash on the Practice Squad

Luck

After the highway robbery of Tevin Mitchel by the Indianapolis Colts, it is clear the Redskins will not be able to “hide” anyone substantial on the Practice Squad.

It’s obvious that someone like Kyshoen Jarrett is going to make the team and would never last on the Practice Squad, so we’ll focus on UDFA’s and under-the-radar bubble players who make the team because they are too good to risk losing through waivers.

1) Terrance Plummer

This guy is a monster.  Surprisingly looked a bit better than Martrell Spaight in games, at least far as jumping out on the tape.  The only way he doesn’t make it is issues with pass coverage. It’s either Plummer or Compton, as I believe Spaight is a lock.

2) Rashad Ross

If the Redskins can bench RG3, they can consider cutting Andre Roberts, who is just unreliable, and taking a much more QB friendly Rashad Ross.  Either Roberts, Rashad or Evan Spencer will not make the team and whoever does not make it will probably be picked up somewhere else.

3) Ty Nsekhe

Finally, a backup Tackle than can block.  He’s been a beast all preseason and he was a former Tight End.  No chance he’ll sit on a Practice Squad.

4) Quenton Dunbar

This converted Wide Receiver to Defensive Back is a poor man’s Richard Sherman in the making.  He looked astonishingly good with unlimited upside for someone that just started playing the position a few weeks ago.

Lastly, on the fence a bit for:

5) Trey Williams

Williams is no Lache Seastrunk.  But the fact the Redskins did not have him field any punts or kickoffs suggests they saw him as too raw and needing to focus on being an NFL Running Back.  Because he is a bit raw, he may have a chance to sneak through to the Redskins Practice Squad. However, his fast, sharp cuts leave both fans and coaches salivating.
